With computers growing in power whilst dropping in price, they now touch every aspect of modern day life. I have an extensive knowledge of computers, having worked, trained and supported computer based environments for a number of years.

System Support

I have several years of experience offering system support and troubleshooting general computer issues including hardware failures and software configuration issues. Whilst working with SAQ my role also involved supporting our Internet services and resolving connectivity, hosting and email problems.

Application Support

One of my primary roles at smartFOCUS DIGITAL is to offer application support. This involves aiding our clients in using the system, troubleshooting their problems, and petitioning our development team should a fault be found.

HTML

With it's wide range of uses in modern-day computing, HTML is an important skillset to have. As part of my role at smartFOCUS DIGITALL it is my responsibility to review our clients code and ensure it is suitable for a selected purpose. For example, many of the features supported by web browsers are not supported by email clients and so I have to ensure that all emails are coded in a manner that offers maximum compatability.

Construction

I studied IT Installation and Maintenance at college and have gone on to build a number of Windows based personal computers. I have also recently started using Linux as an alternative in selected scenarios.

Repair

In addition to building computers, I am also able to repair and help maintain them.

Creative Design

I have worked in design for nearly as long as I have worked with computers. I have skills ranging through web design, video editing, computer art, animation, flyer design and 3D modeling. For a guide to my skills please visit the Multimedia Skills and Abilities page.
